Calculate the square footage of area to paint in a room (the length of the wall by the height of the room), unless the surfaces of windows and doors on the roof surface.
For a room of 4 by 3 meters, is calculated as follows:
Along the walls (2): 4m + 4m + 3m + 3m = 14m.
Chamber height (1): 2.5 m.
Multiplying the two values yields the total area of the walls (2.5 x 14) = 35m 2
Also the calculation of the surface of the cover (4 x 3) = 12 m2.
Area occupied by windows and doors, for example, the window (1.20 mx 1.50 m) and gate (2m x 1m): (1.20 x 1.50) + (2 x 1) = 3, 8 m2.
Therefore, the total painted surface: 35 12 to 3.8 = 43.2 m2.
If we paint a painting whose performance is 9-13 m2 / lt. it takes between 3.32 and 4.8 liters of paint per coat.
