New Fragancias colour chart

The Fragancias series by Pinturas Blatem has been renewed in 2017 with a new colour chart that's full of surprises. Fragancias is a matt plastic paint whose main characteristic is that each colour has its own aroma which is released when applying the paint to the surface. The perfume it releases lasts around a fortnight, so that it prevents the irritating smell of paint and replaces it with one that is much more pleasant.

The new range of Fragancias colours is composed of 24 shades and aromas that are in perfect synergy so that painting becomes an unforgettable experience. This line of paints is perfect for interior surfaces, since it offers more advantages such as its excellent application properties, a good finish, washability and high covering and adhering powers.

What’s more, Fragancias is environmentally friendly, since it is made of non-toxic raw materials with no VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Not to mention, it has the European Union Ecolabel for products with a low environmental impact throughout its whole life cycle.

Four different decorative styles

The new Fragancias colour chart can be divided into four different lines, depending on the decorative style to be achieved:

• Design aromas: These six shades (praline, caramel, chocolate, mild hazelnut, intense hazelnut and macadamia) are perfect if what you’re looking for is to provide a sense of order, wellbeing and serenity. Combined with furniture with softened lines and natural fabric curtains, they produce a sensation of calm and tranquillity in your home.
• Romantic aromas: Pear, strawberry gum, blackberry, kiwi and intense lavender are the shades that comprise this series ideal for creating a welcoming atmosphere. They go well with both contemporary and more classical style furniture and both styles can even be mixed to create very special rooms.
• Pure aromas: If what you want is for your home to emanate warmth and familiarity, this range of colours is the most suitable. The six colours it consists of (eucalyptus, lollipop, grapefruit, passion fruit, aquamarine and fruits of the forest) are ideal for combining with all kinds of furniture and creating intimate rooms.
• Travelling aromas: These six colours (raspberry, poppy, cherry, jasmine tea, cranberry and mandarin) match perfectly with the most adventurous spirits. With these shades you can make a house transport its residents to other corners of the planet. All of this can be done without losing any sophistication or elegance.

A step by step guide to using Fragancias

The mode of use for painting with Fragancias is practically the same as that of any other paint, but the process is much more pleasant since it replaces the intense smell of paint with other more pleasant aromas. These are the steps to follow to use Fragancias:

1. First the surface must be prepared. If it is new, it will be sufficient to clean it to remove potential residues and afterwards sand it down. If instead we are dealing with walls that have already been painted or are in poor condition, the paint will have to be stripped, the cracks filled, sanded down and the dust removed. Besides, if the walls have adherence problems, they must first be primed with Blatem Acrylic Fixative Sealant or with 30% diluted Fragancias.
2. Once the surface has been prepared and cleaned, we can begin to paint with the product. To do so, first the paint must be stirred until it is completely smooth and afterwards apply the first coat of Fragancias. If the walls are smooth, we advise you to use a non-drip roller, whilst if you have a stippled finish it is best to use a polyamide filament yarn roller.
3. Once the first coat of paint has been applied, give it between 6 and 8 hours to dry completely before applying a second coat if it is necessary.
